A Path to Remembrance

There are moments in life when the path ahead doesn’t just open, it calls. Gently, fiercely, silently. Over years and lifetimes. Eventually, you can no longer turn away.

My name is Anita, and this is the story of how I came to walk the path of a priestess under the guidance of Balinese High Priests through prayer, surrender, devotion, and ceremony.

It wasn't something I planned. I didn't grow up imagining temple gates or the scent of incense at dawn. Life has a way of reshaping us when we allow grief, love, and spirit to do their quiet work. After accompanying my husband through ten years of illness, through healing, miracles, remission, and ultimately, his crossing I came to understand that pain is not the end of a story. It is often the portal to a deeper one.

My path as a Wellness Coach was already unfolding. I had spent years immersed in plant-based medicine, rituals, sound, breath, nutrition, aromatherapy, and alternative healing modalities. It was only when I became a devoted student and was later initiated by a Balinese High Priest, Ida Rsi Winesanatha, that I came to understand the depth of devotion this life asks of us, as well as the grace it offers in return.

To be a priestess is not to stand above others. It is to bow in service to Spirit, to the Earth, to the unseen, and to those who come seeking remembrance. I remain a student, always. It is this devotion to learning, to listening, and to witnessing that anchors me each day.

This path is not about perfection, it is about presence. It is about hearing what is sacred and allowing it to speak through you.
